(Toronto, ON) - Staff Superintendent Gary Grant of the Toronto Police Service will host the launch of the Blood Alcohol Educator Web Site on behalf of Creative Concepts International Inc. Superintendent Grant will be joined by various sponsors including, the Substance Abuse Committee of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, TaxiMiles, The Student Life Education Company Inc., the Canadian Campus Hospitality Managers Association Inc., Spirits Canada, Diageo Canada, Pernod Ricard, Jim Beam Brands, Telus Canada, Prime Restaurants, Dominos Canada, Ladybug Teknologies and Via Rail.

Mark Harding, Vice-President Corporate Affairs, Diageo Canada. is quoted as saying “By coming together as an industry and working with police, Universities and Colleges, we have an opportunity to provide a meaningful tool to help young people better understand the effects of alcohol on their system.” Originally developed by the Century Council and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Blood Alcohol Educator is an informative and interactive means of teaching young people how drinking affects their individual blood alcohol concentration.

In addition to the web campaign, the site will also be promoted with a supportive poster campaign throughout Universities and Colleges across Canada. Students will have an opportunity to win a $250.00 Ticketmaster gift certificate to purchase tickets for the concert of their choice anywhere in Canada, two Via Canrail pass tickets in Comfort class (Value of $1,500.00) and one hotel room for two nights in their chosen city.
