"ARRIVE ALIVE - DRIVE SOBER DAY”
On Monday August 2nd, 2004 the Toronto Police Service in partnership with OCCID (Ontario Community Council on Impaired Driving) and the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club will be hosting ‘ARRIVE ALIVE - DRIVE SOBER DAY’ at the Jays home game at Skydome.
The focus of this event is to ensure everyone gets home safely by having a designated driver.
The Toronto Police Service will have an Impaired Driving display located inside gate 9 and a mobile R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) Breath Alcohol Testing Unit located outside gates 5/6. We encourage the public to check out these displays and see the after effects that drinking and driving can have on a person’s life.
The first 5,000 fans that enter the game will receive a passport with a message to “Drive Sober”, from volunteers. To find out more about OCCID check their website at www.arrivealive.org.
