Fatal Motor Vehicle - Pedestrian Accident
Ossington Avenue

On Thursday, June 3, 2004, at about 10:10 p.m., an 82-year-old man was struck while crossing Ossington Ave., north of Northumberland Street, in the city of Toronto.

The pedestrian was crossing from the west side of Ossington Ave. to the east side when a southbound tow truck struck him.

The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the attending coroner.

The name of the pedestrian is being withheld pending notification of his family.

The investigation is continuing and police are asking the assistance of the public for anyone who may have witnessed the accident or the events leading up to it. Members of the public are asked to call Traffic Services at 416 808-1900 or Crime Stoppers at 416 222-TIPS.
