77 Year Old Killed in Hit & Run
Traffic Fatality #12/2004
Jane Street and Shoreham Drive
On Friday April 2nd, 2004 at about 9:40 p.m., a 77 year old female pedestrian was crossing at the signalized intersection of Jane Street and Shoreham Drive in North York.
The pedestrian was crossing at this intersection when she was struck by a motor vehicle that was travelling northbound on Jane Street in the curb lane.
The motor vehicle stopped momentarily and then drove off, northbound on Jane Street.
Emergency Services attended the scene, pronouncing the pedestrian deceased at the scene.
The deceased is Mary Ellen CASWELL, 77 of North York, Ontario.
The suspect is male, driving a red motor vehicle with one or more broken headlights and damage to its front end.
Traffic investigators are requesting the assistance of the public and are asking them to call Traffic Services at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS(8477).
