Traffic Fatality # 11/2004 PEDESTRIAN STRUCK
On Friday April 2nd, 2004, at approximately 8:54 PM, a motor vehicle, pedestrian collision occurred on Horsham Avenue, just west of Yonge Street in the City of Toronto.
The 70 year old female pedestrian while walking northbound on the westside of Yonge Street, was attempting to cross from the south to the north side of Horsham Avenue.
While on Horsham Avenue, she was struck by a 1990 GMC Sierra pick up truck which had been turning left to go westbound on Horsham Avenue from northbound Yonge Street.
The female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedic data link to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
The deceased has been identified as Alice Elizabeth SMOKE, a 70 year old resident of Toronto.
The male driver was arrested at the scene for Impaired Driving.
