Traffic Fatality # 10/2004

On Tuesday February 24th, 2004 at approximately 4:00 pm the victim, Mr. Robert Lacey (78 years of age) was crossing Sorauren Avenue at Dundas Street West in the City of Toronto.

Mr. Lacey was knocked to the roadway while crossing within the pedestrian crosswalk by a 1996 Ford Taurus that had turned left from westbound Dundas Street.

He was subsequently transported to Toronto Western Hospital with a fractured left tibia and broken right ankle.

As a result of complications arising from these injuries the victim passed away on Saturday March 27th, 2004.

This collision is under investigation by Traffic Services. Anyone with information is requested to contact (416)808-1900 or Crime Stoppers at (416)222-TIPS(8477).
