Traffic Fatality # 8/2004

Kingston Road and Brinloor Blvd

On Wednesday March 10th 2004 at about 6:45 p.m. a 70 year old female pedestrian was in the process of crossing from the north side of Kingston Road towards the south side of the street.

The victim was carrying several parcels and had almost reached the centre median of Kingston Road when she was struck by a motor vehicle which was travelling westbound on Kingston Road in the passing lane.

The victim was struck by the westbound motor vehicle and thrown a distance towards the centre of the roadway.

The pedestrian did sustain massive head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the motor vehicle involved is a 56 year old female from Bowmanville. The motor vehicle she was driving was a 1994 Eagle Vision. This party did not sustain any injuries as a result of this collision.
Members of Traffic Services are investigating the incident, anyone who witnessed this collision or that has information about this matter is asked to call Traffic Services at 416 808 1900
